BASF’s Statement on Palatinol^®N regarding the EU Risk Assessment for DINP and DIDP

On April 13th, 2006 the official journal of the European Union published the outcome of the risk assessments for DINP (Palatinol®N) after 10 years of investigation.

As a result, Palatinol®N is considered safe for use and poses no risk in its’ current applications*. Therefore, classification as a hazardous substance is not required.

The result of the EU risk assessment concludes for the PVC-Industry, that Palatinol®N can be used with the utmost confidence and is ready for REACH.
