Welcome at Business Unit Alcohols, Solvents and Plasticizers Europe
We, the employees of the RBU Alcohols, Solvents and Plasticizers Europe, produce and market a comprehensive range of products for a variety of applications such as Solvents for coatings, dispersions and surfactants or Plasticizers for flexible PVC for film and sheet or wire and cable.
Our production facilities are concentrated in Europe at BASF’s Ludwigshafen site. We and our customers benefit from the advantages of the Ludwigshafen “Verbund” structure, which not only ensures the supply of raw materials but also allows a highly efficient production of our products.
The intensive contact and dialog with our customers is extremely important to us. Therefore, we are present with our Sales offices and skilled sales staff in the large markets in Europe.
In addition, new media like the Internet and electronic order channels are of great importance to us. We use these tools not only to introduce ourselves to you, our customer, but also for the optimization of order processing and information exchange. Of course, we understand e-solutions as an additional communication tool, but not as a substitute for personal dialogue.
We are able to help our plasticizer customers in any technical question they may have and offer technical advice or support with analyses executed by our plasticizer application laboratory in Ludwigshafen.
Our objectives are challenging:
- With our major products Palatinol® N, Palatinol® 10-P, Hexamoll® DINCH, butanols, aldehydes und glycol ethers, we are among the three leading suppliers in Europe and we will hold this position.
- We will remain the technological leader and develop and market new products.
- Supported by our competence in logistics we guarantee a high level of reliability to our customers all over Europe.
- We understand changes in the market environment such as globalisation, enhanced chemical legislation and new trends in consumer behaviour - as an opportunity to shape the future together with our customers.
