• Pasadena, Texas started production of Palatinol DOTP

HOUSTON, TEXAS, July 18, 2017 – BASF started the production of Palatinol^® DOTP (dioctyl terephthalate), a general purpose plasticizer, at its Pasadena, Texas facility, with a nameplate capacity of 60,000 metric tons per year. The plant enables BASF to respond to the growing demand for non-ortho-phthalate plasticizers in North America, and strengthens its position as a reliable source for DOTP.

HOUSTON, TX, October 28, 2015 – BASF is planning to start production of Palatinol® DOTP (diethylhexyl terephthalate) in North America in 2017 by investing in dedicated production facilities in Pasadena, Texas. The project will help meet the growing demand for non-ortho-phthalate plasticizers in North America, and will strengthen BASF's position in this fast-growing market.
